Sentada en aquella silla medio rota, vio el reflejo de una luz proveniente de la computadora. Se reincorporó para visualizar aquel maravilloso correo que había traspasado fronteras. Desde Río le llegaba la felicitación más lejana que nunca habría recibido. Y decía así:

CHRISTMAS’ SUN

During the nativity the sun rises

and domains the Brazilian plain.

Canicula proudly reigns

the whole country, like a scent

But it is Christmas. Can be touched in the air:

family, meal, party, pheasant,...

eating together, avoiding the sun.

Because Christmas in the south has the same nature...

Different Christmas, far away from the maternal crucible;

Weird Christmas, without sneezing;

A full-of-insects Christmas, in a big fleet;

Atypical and unknown Christmas.

In the summer's solstice the Sun reigns,

welcomed during the month of December...
